Merry Christmas!!!

Hi everyone! We hope your Christmas has been as enjoyable and memorable as ours. We went to mass this morning at St. Joseph's in downtown Columbia. Madelyn was sound asleep when the organ fired off the first notes of music, and she only returned near communion for a brief appearance. The congregation sang "Silent Night", which she seemed to enjoy probably because I sing it for her all of the time.

We had dinner this afternoon at Ron and Patty's. It has been your pretty standard Christmas, which is great compared to what we have been going through.

Thanks to everyone who continues their vigilant prayers for Madelyn and our family.

Happy Birthday Jesus and Merry Christmas!

Rick

A few days ago a friend of my sent me a email requesting prayer for Madelyn. I prayed and forwarded the request to others. I was reading email today and I emailed my friend to get an update. What a Christmas Miracle you received. I am not surprised because our God is a Mighty God. The power of prayer is so great and I believe Madelyn is receiving God's grace and healing touch. Keep the faith, and keep praying because God hears every one...........

Sheila & Rick,
We heard of Madelyn through a mutual friend. We have forwarded her story on to many prayer partners and friends. Our own daughter was a patient of Dr. McRedmond and Dr. Neuberg when she was one. She is living proof that God HEALS and still provides miracles today. We believe he listens to the petitions of his believers... as you have seen. Our little angel is 3 and we know she is completely healed. Our heartfelt prayers and thoughts will remain with you, as we are confident you are in capable hands (both professionally and spiritually). The Schwanda Family

Funny how your precious girl has brought so many close at Christmas. In sending out requests for prayer I have emailed back and forth to friends and family that I would not have taken the time to do with the "retail gifts and hussle and bustle of the season". Your littlest angel has given many of us the true gifts of Christmas. Because of Madelyn I took the time to talk to and email those who meant the most, those I could call on for the promise of prayer. Shelia- Allie- Grace and I want a double date first of the year!
Much Love- The Lennon Family

Sheila and Rick,
I was so shocked to hear the news as I hadn't checked my home e-mail in weeks. Thank God that you persisted and found out what the real problem was. God bless little Maddie and keep her and her mom and dad strong. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. She is a precious little sweetie. I wish there was more I could do. Thank you for keeping us informed. I miss you and Rick and think of you often. Please don't forget to take care of yourselves as well. Merry Christmas and I hope all goes the best it possibly can. Love and prayers, Dina and Casey.

I also received an e-mail requesting prayers, and please know that we are keeping you and your little girl in our prayers. Our daughter was born at 29 1/2 wks. and weighed just 2 lbs. 15 ozs. We had 5 churches praying for our little angel. Because of my strong belief in St. Jude, we put the prayer card in her crib at the hospital. She was cut in the abdomen as the doctors frantically rushed to save her life at birth, and they told us that she may have a brain tumor. After 2 long months in the hospital, many prayers and tears, she finally came home. She's now a healthy, happy nine-year-old.
Someone once told me that God only gives you what you can handle. He chose you to spread His message and bring so many people together for your daughter's cause. Please remember that our children were chosen as special angels from Heaven.

Keep your faith strong because God will take good care of your little angel.
